ShopSite Announces Version 8 of Shopping Cart System
Popular software adds Rewards, Tell A Friend and PayPal Website Payments Pro.
August 2, 2005, Orem, Utah -- ShopSite, Inc., a leading provider of
e-commerce shopping cart and catalog software for small to medium-sized
businesses, announced today the release of ShopSite 8.0. ShopSite™ is
an industry leading e-commerce software option for web hosting
providers, for new or existing Internet merchants, and for Web
designers.
"8.0 Pro adds features such as
Rewards and Tell A Friend which merchants can use to increase customer

Support for the new PayPal Website Payments Pro has been added to
ShopSite Starter, Manager, and Pro. Besides allowing a faster and more
secure checkout for shoppers using PayPal, it also provides an easy way
for merchants to directly accept credit cards in their shopping cart.
ShopSite has also integrated with the PSiGate payment gateway. This gateway supports both Canadian and US merchants.
ShopSite's XML Order Download API which previously was only available
in ShopSite Pro has now been added to ShopSite Manager. This enables
3rd-party add-ons such as Order Manager from Stone Edge, Mail Order
Manager (M.O.M.) from Dydacomp as well as ShopSite's Order Transfer
module for QuickBooks® to now be available to ShopSite Manager
merchants.

Continuing to improve existing features, ShopSite 8.0 Pro has also added the following:
- Merchants can now create gift certificates from within ShopSite.
- Orders can be searched via criteria such as PayPal Pending status, shopper phone number, containing coupons, etc.
- Verified by Visa® and MasterCard® SecureCode as well as Fraud
Protection Services are now supported for the VeriSign payment gateway.
